Our employees are our
biggest asset, and all Cataldo Ambulance Service employees share
our commitment to community, patient care, and maintain the highest
standard of clinical and performance excellence. Before anyone
is hired, they must:
• Submit
a current satisfactory driving record from the
Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Pass
a clinical interview
• Pass
a mandatory drug test
• Pass
a pre-employment physical
• Pass
a multi-state criminal records check
• Pass
a pre-employment Cognitive and Practical Skills test
We
are the only company currently requiring all these stringent requirements,
and that is just the start. Once hired, every employee must successfully
complete a classroom orientation and comprehensive “in-the-field” training
with highly skilled field training officers.
All training and education is performed in-house at the Cataldo
Ambulance Service Emergency Medical Service Training and Education
Center (EMSTEC). Our training center is equipped with state-of-the-art
audiovisual training aids. Our EMTs and Paramedics attend monthly
call review sessions to
ensure a consistently high level of patient care.
Of course, “a man is only as good as his horse.” Because
patient care is our top priority, we dedicate resources and maintain
a significant fleet of ready reserve, back-up vehicles capable
of being activated in a moment’s notice. We firmly believe
in providing our personnel with the best vehicles and equipment
available.
Everything we use in our daily work is scrutinized for its ease
of use, functionality, durability and performance. From wheelchairs
to cardiac monitors, all equipment is fully evaluated before being
purchased and issued for use in the field.
When it comes to ambulance units, we don’t take a back seat
to anyone in our industry. Each ambulance incorporates the latest
in safety and comfort features. Our fleet is one of the newest
in the country and each vehicle is cleaned and inspected daily.
Our wheelchair vans are built to custom specifications and incorporate
refinements developed through many years of experience providing
wheelchair accessible transportation. All units are maintained
and serviced in our own maintenance facility
that is equally well equipped with an extensive list of modern
service equipment, as well as a master emergency mechanic, available
24 hours a day, seven days a week. |
