CATALDO AMBULANCE ACQUIRES NORTH
SHORE AMBULANCE SERVICE
SOMERVILLE, Massachusetts – Cataldo Ambulance Service
finalized the purchase of assets formally belonging to North Shore
Ambulance Service. Negotiations on this acquisition began during
the summer of 2008 and the deal was executed on Monday, December
15th.
Once the news of the pending acquisition went public, there were some unexpected
reactions which prompted almost immediate intervention to maintain the contractual
obligations of NSA. As of Friday, November 21st 2008, Atlantic Ambulance,
A Division of Cataldo Ambulance Service, began providing emergency services to
the town of Marblehead and on Monday, December 1st, Atlantic Ambulance began
providing 911 services for the City of Salem. Residents and City Officials received
a seamless takeover as Atlantic responded to 911 calls in their community. “There
was no interruption of services whatsoever,” says Dennis Cataldo, Vice
President of Cataldo Ambulance Service.
As the 911 provider for Peabody and Lynn, the new areas of Salem and Marblehead
fit well into the primary service area of Atlantic Ambulance. Combined with the
substantial resources of Cataldo Ambulance Service, the communities of Salem
and Marblehead are a great fit for the entire organization.
Atlantic, a division of Cataldo Ambulance Service, is committed to developing
strong, long term relationships with the facilities, communities and patients
they serve. Just like Cataldo, Atlantic’s success is based on personal
commitment, honesty, exceptional patient care and timely service. Atlantic Ambulance
was purchased by the Cataldo Family in 2003. Collectively, Cataldo and Atlantic
provide frontline EMS Services to eleven municipalities stretching from Boston
throughout the North Shore.
