City of Melrose Continues with Cataldo Ambulance
for Additional Three Years
It brings us great pleasure to announce that the City of Melrose has once again chosen Cataldo Ambulance Service as their 911 provider of emergency ambulance services. The term of the contract began on September 1, 2010 for a three year period.
The City chose to award a new three year contract to Cataldo Ambulance
Service after a formal bid process. A key factor in choosing Cataldo
Ambulance Service was due to the support of the Melrose Fire Department, "I
take very seriously the opinion of the guys who are on the front
lines in these emergency situations," Mayor Robert Dolan stated
in a recent press release.
In July of 2008, the City chose Cataldo Ambulance to provide emergency
medical services based on the company's exceptional reputation, financial
stability and experience in providing frontline EMS services. Since
then we have made a lot of progress in elevating the level of care
within the community, says Dennis Cataldo, Vice President. We were
able to introduce the ZOLL Autopulse technology, Nasal Narcan administration,
Albuterol treatments and Intraosseous Medication administration (EZ-IO)
to name a few. "Cataldo not only has a strong presence in the
city but their emergency response time far exceeds that of the national
average. The equipment that is standard to their operations is above
what is considered normal standards of care," stated Dolan.
Cataldo Ambulance Service remains one of the most respected family
owned providers of medical transportation in the Northeast. The City
of Melrose is one of twelve communities in the Greater Boston and
North Shore areas that Cataldo delivers primary emergency services
to on a daily basis.
