CATALDO’S CLINICAL FIELD SUPERVISOR
AWARDED EMT OF THE YEAR
SOMERVILLE, Massachusetts – On February 28th, 2007 the Everett
Chamber of Commerce held their Community Appreciation Night to recognize
those who consistently go above the call of duty within their community.
The Everett Chamber of Commerce recognizes one Police Officer, one
Firefighter, and one EMT each year. This year, the award recognizes
Cataldo’s Shaun O’Donnell as the Everett Chamber’s “Emergency
Medical Technician of the Year!” 
Shaun came to Cataldo Ambulance
Service, Inc.
as an EMT in 1992 and became a Paramedic in 1996. In August 2004,
Shaun was promoted to Clinical Field Supervisor. Shaun was selected
for this award due to his consistent dedication to patient care and
his strong leadership skills.
Shaun has developed various training
competency benchmarks and re-education practices. His additional
certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist has benefited
the staff with an additional expert resource as Cataldo has moved
forward with an increased application of End-Tidal CO2 monitoring.
O’Donnell consistently facilitates educational
opportunities as they arise with direct patient care and in more
formal classroom situations. Shaun has always demonstrated professional
leadership qualities that are recognized and appreciated by all
members of the field personnel as well as management at Cataldo
Ambulance Service.
The Everett Chamber of Commerce is dedicated
to creating and advancing a favorable climate of economic development
and growth for its members. The Chamber serves as a unifying voice
for retail, commercial, industrial and non profit members while
acting as an advocate on local, state and federal issues which may
impact the business community. The Chamber provides opportunities
for members to learn about topical issues which would affect their
operation while offering opportunities for members to network and
gain knowledge and experience from each other. All of the Everett
Chamber’s efforts focus on enhancing life in the Everett community.
