CATALDO RECEIVES HONORARY EMS AWARD
MALDEN, Massachusetts -- On October 29, 2009 Cataldo Ambulance Service,
owners Robert and Diana Cataldo were pleased to learn that their
son Dennis was recognized by the Metropolitan Boston Emergency Medical
Services Council (MBEMSC) as a Regional leader. The MBEMSC awarded
Dennis Cataldo with the prestigious Region IV EMS Leader Award, an
award that is presented annually to an individual EMS Administrator
who has become a leader in EMS and serves as a role model for other
EMS Administrators throughout the region.
As the 911 emergency services provider to the City of Malden since
1998, Cataldo Ambulance Service has been committed to bringing clinical
excellence into the community. Dennis has made a true commitment
to the company and the communities they service to provide the best
patient care possible in the pre-hospital setting. As Vice President
of Cataldo Ambulance Service, Mr. Cataldo never settles for status
quo. The Cataldo Family, which began Cataldo Ambulance Service in
1977, continuously strives to be on the cutting edge of EMS by purchasing
equipment and applying for waivers that go above and beyond state
requirements. The Cataldos continue to support numerous advanced
training seminars to better prepare field staff in the event of a
terrorist attack as well as Mass Casualty Incidents. Due to the family’s dedication to training and education, Cataldo Ambulance’s Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics are some of the most highly trained in the State.
Dennis Cataldo has been recognized for constantly giving back to
the community by sitting on many boards that directly improve the
health and wellness of the public. Coordinating with many local hospitals
and healthcare organizations, Dennis is involved in many non-profit
organizations and volunteers for numerous charity events to help
raise money and awareness to many local and regional notable causes.
As a Director on the board at the American Cancer Society, Cataldo
has given much of his personal time to raise necessary funds for
the new Hope Lodge Center in Boston, a home where cancer patients
and their families can stay free of charge while receiving treatment.
Cataldo Ambulance Service remains one of the most respected family
owned providers of medical transportation in the Northeast. Since
1977, Cataldo Ambulance Service has continually distinguished itself
as a leader in providing routine and emergency medical services.
As the needs of the community and the patient change, Cataldo Ambulance
continues to introduce innovative programs to ensure the highest
level of care is available to everyone in their service areas. Cataldo
Ambulance Service applauds the achievements of Vice President Dennis
Cataldo and his continued work for the overall good of emergency
medical services as they are delivered to the City of Malden.
