CATALDO’S ATLANTIC AMBULANCE SERVICE
WINS BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD

PEABODY, Massachusetts -- Atlantic Ambulance Service, a Division of Cataldo Ambulance, has been named Business of the Year by the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce. The respected award was announced at the Annual Community Awards Dinner held in Marblehead on September 27, 2011.

The Chamber’s Business of the Year Award is awarded to a business that is philanthropic, innovative or community minded that unselfishly supports the community. Atlantic Ambulance Service was nominated by the membership and chosen to receive this award based on the organization’s efforts to provide quality care to the Town of Marblehead and beyond.

“Since 2008, Atlantic Ambulance has been the 911 emergency provider for Marblehead, and it is more than comforting to know that your ambulance base is located on Sewall Street in Marblehead and is staffed by a full time Paramedic unit at all times,” reads the announcement by the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce. “Atlantic Ambulance Service has donated the services of EMTs, Paramedics and vehicles for many community events and programs, including the 4th of July Fireworks, Marblehead Fire Department Project Lifesaver and various events sponsored by Rotary Club. Additionally, your organization offers representation on community boards and groups such as the Marblehead Cares Coalition and of course, the Marblehead Chamber of Commerce.”

Robert, Diana and Dennis Cataldo accepted this award on behalf of Atlantic Ambulance Service. The family has dedicated the award to the devoted EMTs and Paramedics who take pride in providing emergency services to all the communities in which they service. The Town of Marblehead marks the fifth community in which the Atlantic Division delivers emergency 911 services, in addition to Lynn, Peabody, Salem and Saugus. In total, Cataldo Ambulance Service is the emergency 911 provider to twelve communities throughout the North Shore and the Greater Boston Areas.
