Family-Friendly Community Health Fair Features
Free Health Screenings, Touch-a-Truck, and Softball

Somerville, MA…On Saturday, October 2nd, Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) and Cataldo Ambulance Service will host a community health fair at Trum Field in Somerville. The family-friendly event, which runs from 12 – 3 p.m., will feature free health screenings, children’s activities, and a softball game between Cataldo and Emergency Department staff from CHA’s Somerville Hospital campus.

Activities for all ages will include giveaways, face painting, and a touch-a-truck event. Somerville Police and Fire Departments and Cataldo will each provide a vehicle for kids to tour and explore. CHA staff will conduct free blood pressure screenings and provide information about the healthcare system’s services and the important changes taking place at its Somerville Hospital campus. Cataldo will also raffle off a pair of Celtics premium club tickets for the 2010-2011 regular season.

The event is free and open to the public. All are invited to meet local medical and emergency professionals who serve the Somerville community. Trum Field is located at 541 Broadway.
